Antonio Funk

Antonio Funk

Antonio Funk is a House Dj/Producer emerging as one of the many talents from London, UK. Having been making a contribution to the underground UK scene from the age of 14, (14 years ago to date) Antonio is not a complete stranger to the industry. Making his name as Dj ID, Antonio could be found in and around London’s clubs at a young age spinning the sounds of Garage with some of London’s most elite Dj’s and MC’s on the scene. At 15 he earned a residency with event promoters Loveshy which quickly expanded his network. Soon followed his pirate radio experience landing regular shows on Taste FM, Entice FM and Raw Mission during the peak of the UK Garage scene from the late 90’s to the early millenium. More recently Antonio has been spinning his selection of Deep, Soulful, Tribal, Progressive, Funky and Tech House on Select UK FM and now Dejavu FM. After taking time out, Antonio began to define his own understanding of House music and begin to practice creating his own music productions. He studied the musical elements and cultural influences of Deep/Tech and Soulful house and is now ready to release his music. Influences include, Jimpster, Enzyme Black, Dennis Ferrer, Black Coffee, Ralf Gum, Axwell, Kenny Dope, Kerri Chandler, Osunlade, Ezel, Steve Angelo, and Sebastien Leger to name a few. His first release ‘Roll The Dice’ is available now on Beatport and Traxsource released on Independent label ‘Must Have Music’ and there will be many more to follow as this fresh producer attempts to rub shoulders with the legends of House Music.
