URBANITY 2011
Introducing Urbanity – a brand new urban music talent competition launching Monday, 14th March 2011. We’re trying to find the very best independent urban music act in the UK, and to do so we’re using a panel of select industry judges, the team of music virtuosos at Sticky Toffee PR and the general public of the UK.
The premise is simple – we’ll be openly inviting hip hop / grime / funky / RnB / dubstep acts to submit their material to us over a three week period. From there our team will choose 30 artists who will be put up for a two week public vote. The five artists who receive the most votes from the public will then qualify for the final and will be judged by our industry panel, who will rate each act on a scale of 1-10. The act with the most points will be declared the winner and will receive a host of exclusive prizes including over £2000 worth of PR representation courtesy of Sticky Toffee PR, Reason Record Duo courtesy of Propellerhead (RRP £359) and an AKG C 214 courtesy of AKG (RRP £399).
The competition is FREE to enter, and is the perfect opportunity for budding artists / producers / songwriters to make a huge impression on the UK music industry.
