Our sincere condolences go out to the family of Darren Imbert, who sadly passed away last week.
Darren was one of the original Deja Vu DJ’s who blessed the airwaves from our station’s beginning between 1995 and 1998. He was someone who always talked about his time on the Vu with fond memories. Darren and his passion for music will undoubtedly be in the thoughts of many in our industry, friends and of course his loving family.
For anyone wishing to pay their respects, his funeral will take place at 10am this Tuesday 10th November, St Stephen’s Church, 146 Little Ilford Lane, Manor Park E12 (Corner of Church Road).

I only found out this week and was sad to miss the funeral. I met Darren some 25 odd years ago when we used to hang out in Ilford – going to the Palais and such, those were the days, eh. You will be greatly missed, and I will look out for the extra star in the night sky. Love, Mxx

I Used to Listen to Darren Imbert on Deja when i was younger (I’m 30 now…lol)his shows where always fire and at the forefront of the urban music scene at the time.
