In 1996 Deja Vu fm was one of the leading Garage Music Station in London, with the cream of the crop DJ’s & Hosts. There was an actual waiting list to get a show on the station and the levels were so high.
As an underground Jungle DJ & Producer at the time, I was tempted to get a show on the might VU, playing a style I wasn’t particularly known for at the time, my mission was to start from the bottom and work my way up the ranks.
With a wide selection of music in my box, plus having the advantage of owning Togetherness Records shop in Leytonstone East London, I put together a quick mix for Laura aka The Duchess from Deja Vu fm and the rest is history…
I completely forgot about this tape until it was handed back to me in 2017 by Laura who kept hold of everyones tapes.
