Former Déjà Vu quartet Rudimental’s new single “Feel The Love” featuring John Newman has made it to the number 1 spot in the official UK singles chart.

Feel The Love is a Drum & Bass/Dance track, just listening to the track Rudimentals intent to bring soul to electro is very clear.

Their diverse production styles, multitude of facets and relentless work rate has really helped stand them in good stead for making their mark on the UK scene and it is no surprise that they are now getting recognition and mainstream success.

Prior to their chart topping release Rudimental have released House tracks such as “Sexy Sexy” featuring Natalie May and “Deep In The Valley” ft. MC Shantie to name just a few.

Rudimental are tipped to dominate the scene in the coming months.
The quartet Comprising of Piers Agget, Kesi Dryden, Amir Amor & DJ Locksmith.

The original Rudimental trio go back a long way; Piers and Locksmith grew up together living on the same street in Hackney. Kesi lived a short distance away in Stoke Newington. Amir joined the group later on in the middle of 2011 – Rudimental.

After working on remixes everything they did together sounded good so they formed the group – Rudimental.

Rudimental first made their mark in the UK House scene back in 2008. Locksmith and Piers presented shows here on London Déjà Vu, the historical origin/launch pad for a vast amount of successful professional artists careers.

In contrast to prior releases from Rudimental “Feel The Love” is an organic Drum & Bass phenomenon with a soaring trumpet break and an unrestrained, magnificent vocal performance courtesy of John Newman.

The video for “Feel The Love” was shot in the USA. Written by the same team that produced the ever-present Cadbury’s advert with the gorilla playing drums to Phil Colins’s “In The Air Tonight”.

The video is a feel-good clip based around the Fletcher Street community horse-riding centre in North Philadelphia that helps keep disadvantaged children and teenagers out of trouble.

Rudimental are keen on the idea of setting up musical workshops to help kids and young people in the future however, at the forefront of their minds they aim to maintain the momentum throughout the rest of 2012 and beyond.

Feel The Love can be purchased on iTunes today.
