DJ Dlux is a unique DJ who plays the best in authentic underground sounds.
With a career spanning over 35 years, Dlux first notable achievement was joining the Brain Records Label in 91 where he released pioneering Hardcore, Jungle and Drum N Bass working alongside the likes of Bizzy B, Lennie De Ice DJ Hype and DJ Zinc.
Gaining more success by the late 90s within the UK Garage scene, Dlux has held many radio shows including becoming a Rinse FM resident before joining the legendary Déjà Vu FM where he still holds a show today. Whilst being head honcho at Deja, he created the brand We Play Music, an original concept that combines live performance and radio streaming.
As a genuine specialist in underground music and production, Dlux is also known for mentoring and engineering for UK artists and producers including Lethal Bizzle, Big Narstie, Kano, Ruff Sqwad, Frisco (Boy Better Know), D Power Diesle, Same People, No Lay and Mobo winning 2Play.
In recent years, Dlux has been releasing his back catalogue of previously unreleased material (The Lost Dats) on vinyl only and had a huge amount of success. This has inspired him to go back to the studio and 2021 will see him release new material.
2020 Has also seen Dlux, step up his radio appearances not only has his Sunday WePlayMusic Show surpassed 400 podcast episodes, during the UK Pandemic he started broadcasting a new show called WePlayDaily and broadcasted for 100 consecutive days nonstop from March to July 2020. This achivement was then followed by a new show called The Dlux Breakfast which broadcast’s weekdays 8am – 10am.
