SONENI & THE SOUL

SONENI & THE SOUL are a UK House and Neo Soul Live Band. Four members: Soneni (singer/songwriter) Elmo (producer/bass player) Saeed (Keys) Ricardo (Drummer). We have been described as a ‘House Inspired Soulful Collective’.

Released our debut single ‘StarStruck’ independently on iTunes and in London’s independent stores in 2009. This featured an Original version and Live Band version along with a bonus track called Fly So High.

Soneni met and sung for WuTang’s Raekwon who said: ‘she’s like a combination of the early 70’s live music soundwith a mixture of some jazzy mean stuff’.

We performed at numerous venues last year including international music festival: Liverpool Sound City, the iconic Sadlers Wells, Rich Mix and Stratford Circus.

Performed at iluvlive at Cargo in February. Footage of our performance was aired on FlavaTV and we received a great review in RWDmag.

We run our own bi-monthly live music nights entitled ‘An Evening with Soneni & The Soul’ where we perform, host and book other musicians/poets/comedians to support us.

The next ‘An Evening With Soneni & The Soul’ is the Cloud Nine release party on 31st March. We will be performing Cloud Nine live for the first time. Cloud Nine is our next single out mid April.
