Wifey’s 30th show on Deja is set to be a benchmark for hyped airtime. Ralph LTF and RK managed to get so many special guests in you can’t really fit them into a single breath.
They brought in one the most talked about producers of the year, the man behind smash hit double A-side ‘Done Me Wrong/Bax’ on Numbers Mosca. Mosca was brought together with Big Narstie and MC Reds from the NAA grime crew for a collaboration that has never happened anywhere else.
Ralph LTF asked in some of the main players in the footwork craze currently pushing its way through Europe from the US, DJ Rashad and DJ Spinn, bringing a sound from Chicago that has possibly never been heard on Deja before. Finally the show introduced the sounds of Manchester soundboy Balraj Samrai, one half of the notable production unit ‘Swing Ting’. Bal has long been a friend of the show and continues to blow our minds with his capacity to select the best of every genre he thinks of and blend well enough to forgo questions of how well it’s ‘working’ or not.
All in all a serious show.
