Myshy has been singing for as long as she can remember, as a child she remembers singing at weddings, parties and at church. She never really took it seriously, as it was all good fun. However she always enjoyed expressing herself through her writing and since primary school had developed a strong sense of expression through poetry and short stories. This love affair with words led to her writing and singing her own songs from such a young age.

As a teenager however, there were several issues which caused her to completely take a different path and nearly put the pen down for good. She began to fall in with the wrong crowd, and often fell foul in the hands of the law. It was during these times that she turned to her music for escape and began to imagine what life would be like on stage. These dreams were short lived as there was always something around the corner to keep her away from what she loved.

Finally, one day she decided enough was enough, it was time to take control of her life, and take her love affair with words and music seriously. She began to fall deeper into her music and began to hone her song writing and singing skills further, this fuelled her burning desire to become a recording artist like many of the ones she admired. But how hard could it be??

Myshy soon learned that in the world of music, a lot of people talk the talk, and promise the world, but very few can deliver. This led to her going through many false starts, and seeing her hopes and dreams shattered time and time again. She managed to record a few tracks and even won a talent competition but

even then nothing much happened (other then a free t-shirt here n there ☺ ).

After being close to giving up, and doomed to the reality of a 9-5 job like 90% of the population. A close friend, pointed out that she was a family member of uk house producer Fuzzy Logik (producer of Egypt in the morning, The way you move, and countless other uk house club smashes).

She sent him one of the demos she had recorded. Fuzzy felt she had a lot of potential, and if she promised to put the work in, he would help develop her, and take her to the next level.
He simply said to her, “There’s no 5 year plan to develop you, what we are doing right now is on the job training,
This whole scene is your development, this is your playground”. Myshy being the adept writer that she is, swifty turned that line into her debut single “playground”.

So for her playtimes just started………
