“Player of Deep, Afro, Soulful House and a bringer of that feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Anton P describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapies as well as uniting an audience of likeminded individuals. Growing up in Harrow in the 1980’s Anton P would be listening to both hip-hop, RnB and then got introduced to Jungle, Garage and House Music in the early 90’s. Music soon became an everyday thing for him booming baselines, funky backdrops, thudding drums, and occasional vocal hooks… could be found all on top of a bouncy head nodding, foot-shuffling house beat. Raving throughout the 90’s and 00’s Anton was regularly found at Grays Inn Rd, Gas Club, Club Koo, Vauxhall Colosseum and soon started messing around on the decks himself when at home or with friends – 1st starting off on 2 Sound Labs, Belt Drives but quickly realised he had to get the money together to purchase some Technic 1210’s!!!…Saturdays become a thing of collecting vinyl records, having a mix then hitting the London Underground Scene, listening to his icons, Funky Smith, Charlie Brown, Mc Sparks, Kenny Dope, Louie Vega………Anton’s love of the rave scene and Music, grew and grew. “House music has brought me so much joy…the people I have been able to play alongside as well as the listeners have all become like family, we support each other, encourage each other and build each other…..the community we have created is all Love. As well as forming the L.I.K, Anton P has played alongside some of the biggest DJ’s and Hosts in the UK and has had the pleasure of working alongside Princess Eyes Promotions and Afro Soul London as well as internationally by playing on Souled Out House in Atlanta USA. “I love playing music and can’t wait until the clubs reopen, I have loved playing with some immense DJ’s but to create the L.I.K during a time of isolation and real loneliness is something I am most proud of. I love our team and cannot wait till we get to play out again…..but for now it’s all about playing online, … playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realising it, regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date“
