Leon Finesse

Leon Finesse is a very passionate Dj at heart, born and raised with music by his father, who himself was a sound man with a sound system that initially led Leon into his musical inspirations. It was from those moments that he knew music was a part of him and this was his happy place and comfort zone.

At the young tender age of around 8 years old was when Leon gathered the courage to pick up the mic and share the talent he naturally had of writing and spitting lyrics. This little youngster would carry all the equipment and help set up for his dad’s events such as sound clashes, shoobs, and all dayers. You name it he was there unknowingly living and being a part of such respected musical eras that he would in years to come be thankful that his path was paved to follow his musical ambitions and on-going journey.

Leon then started to gradually perform at house parties, gatherings, social clubs and a number of events. This is when he started evolving musically experiencing different types of music developing a particular love for hip hop, house and jungle.

As time went on, Leon moved on from West London where he was born and raised to Hackney where he formed a rap group writing and recording many tracks and mixtapes. Leon then went by the rap name kaseno making pure gems and memories for 11 years with his love for raving on the house and jungle scene slowly introducing the up and coming Dj Leon Finesse to the world of house music. He crossed paths with circles which led to him being approached by a friend to join USD radio station. This was when The Powerhouse Show was born. He soon after moved on to Touch FM where he met 3DOM, his host which completed The Powerhouse show.

After moving on and having a little timeout, Leon decided he would approach Dejavufm and ask Dlux the man himself if he could join the family. He from that moment had the Friday night slot of 10-12am and has been a part of Deja crew for almost 2 years.

Leon Finesse brings the best of funky, deep, afro, soulful, tribal house and ampiano powerful vibes. Bringing you great music, energy and community spirit with weekly guest mixes. Taking you on a musical journey you don’t want to leave. Guaranteed!!!

He is now producing his own music and has been doing so for some time. BUT, now does this mean it’s the next step of the Finesse’s journey….
