DJ Lusinda

Lusinda is one of the very few female DJ’s in London actively pushing boundaries and scenes forward. With 8 years on air as the breakfast/drivetime show host for the likes of Origin.UK, Kane FM, Reel Rebels and Kool London and guest shows for Rinse FM and Rough Tempo, Lusinda has build up a legion of followers who relate to her high energy personality and diverse tune selection.

For more than 13 years DJ Lusinda has played globally: South America, Europe, USA, Mexico and Russia. She plays up and down the UK for infamous club nights and is a regular billing in the London club scene and most top festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown, Exit Festival, Outlook Festival and Notting Hill Carnival.

Back in 2001, when she was running her own vinyl label Victim, She had the honour of personally working with Sir John Peel after he called and urged her to continue striving as an independent female artist. This began her interest in Radio.

Guests on her shows have been The Beatbox Collective, Herbalizer, Andy Smith (Portishead), Joe Skitz Cole (Radio 1), Eva Lazarus, Lady Chann, Warrior Queen, Ragga Twins, Catapulte Records (France), Dom Servini (Wah Wah) to name a few. LuSINda is dedicated to contributing to shape the ever more blurry musical landscape and encourages the idea of overlapping all genres. Whether it’s house, garage, hip-hop, R&B, drum & bass, funk & soul, reggae, or an emerging sub-genre, she represents the breadth of musical culture.

Already known as a unique musical curator, representing a vast spectrum of cutting-edge music styles, with an unrelenting passion for natural broadcasting and DJing talent, and an infectious laugh. Her natural skills for not only musical selection but also her choice of guests and knowledgeable interview style set her in a style all of her own, providing a platform for emerging artists and also current and all those that have been influential through the years.

She has spun alongside the likes of legendary DJ’s such as Salt n Pepa, Mary Anne Hobbs, Mike Skinner (The Streets) Herbalizer, DJ Snuff, Annie Mac, Youngsta, Nadia Rose, Monki, Son of Noise, Caxton Press, Shy FX, Dub Pistols, Dizzy Rascal, Donaeo, Freestylers, Sam Binga, DJ Skitz & Rodney P, DJ Format, Breakage, Noisia, Mr. Thing and The Skints.

As part of all girl outfit Bitch Please, 2017 has been momentus and the wheels are well and truly spinning! She also mentors and teaches DJ classes at Southbank Centre London, WOW festival and the future – is yet to come.
